YOU MUST BRING COPIES OF YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE
Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL PERSONS traveling by AIR between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean region are required to present a passport or other valid travel document to enter or re-enter the United States. All Passport Applicants MUST appear in Person

The Passport Card:
Beginning February 1, 2008, customers will now have the option to apply for a Passport Card which may only be used for land and sea travel between the Unites States and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Applications for passports may be obtained at the Franklin County Clerk's Office or you may download them at: http://travel.state.gov/passport/forms/forms_847.html
To obtain a passport you must have the following items:
- Proof of Citizenship: certified copy of Birth Certificate, previous passport, or Certificate of Naturalization
- 2 official passport photos, 2 X 2 inches
- Valid photo identification
- Applicant's social security number.
Special requirements for Children under age 16 effective February 1, 2008. Both parents or child's legal guardian must:
- Present evidence of child's U.S. citizenship and
- Present evidence that they are the parents or guardian and
- Show valid personal identification and
- Sign and take oath before an authorized passport acceptance agent
- If either parent is unable to appear, the absent parent must provide a notarized statement of consent, which includes the child's name and date of birth, authorizing passport issuance

Passports for age 16 and over are valid for 10 years; for under age 16 they are valid for 5 years.
