Job Position FORECLOSURE/INFORMATION DEPUTY

Salary / Classification $2,823.50 / MONTHLY
GRADE 13, BARGAINING, NON-EXEMPT

SUMMARY

Performs a variety of complex and technical senior level tasks requiring comprehensive knowledge of departmental and/or County-wide functions and procedures to perform work, and provide detailed and technical servicing to the public. Primary functions include processing of delinquent property tax proceedings including notification, filing, assisting and overseeing tax foreclosure and distraint auction proceedings. Has extensive knowledge of Foreclosure processes; Stays current with changes to RCW’s and WAC’s and has the ability to interpret and apply them to insure compliance with all foreclosure related processes. Position requires a high level of both written and verbal communication skills to facilitate interactions with public record requests, home owners in foreclosure, as well as working closely with other county departments. Additional responsibilities include preparing comprehensive and complex foreclosure documents for filing with Superior Court and assisting in ongoing training and education practices for the Treasurer’s office.

EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES

  • • Independently prepares, maintains and disseminates detailed records, logs, and statistics; establishes and updates manual and computerized recordkeeping systems; researches and verifies data, reconciles discrepancies, then enters and edits reports or information; retains and retrieves files; requires knowledge of departmental procedures which must be maintained and updated in the Foreclosure manual. Is responsible for maintaining ACH payment plans, and administration and collection of municipal abatements.

  • LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • • Eligibility for coverage under the County’s insurance carrier based on successful completion of a criminal history background check.
