Juniper Dunes Recreation Area Access Road

 

2015-07-29 The Board of Franklin County Commissioners held a public hearing to establish a County road from Pasco-Kahlotus Road to the Juniper Dunes Recreation Area.

 

2015-04-08 - The Board of Franklin County Commissioners held a public hearing on the route preference for a Juniper Dunes access road. The public was afforded opportunity to voice opinions and concerns. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Board concurred with the County Engineer's report that Alternative 2 was the preferred option. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will make the final determination as to the route location.

The Western Federal Lands Division of the Federal Highway Administration, in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management and Franklin County, is planning to construct a public access to the Juniper Dunes Wilderness and off-highway vehicle areas. The project is currently in the early planning stages.

PETITION TO VACATE ALL OF

HORSESHOE LANE

RIGHT-OF-WAY

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a petition has been filed in the office of the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County requesting that the right-of-way for all of Horseshoe Lane to be vacated as described:

 

A 40 foot wide road right-of-way being 20 feet on each side, being a portion of and situated in Section 22, Township 14 North, Range 30 East, W.M., the centerline of said right-of-way being fully described as follows:

 

Beginning at the Point of Curvature (PC) on Horseshoe Road (Formally Feeder Road 11-4-A) at County Engineers Station (hereinafter referred to as CES) 99+71.37 and CES 0+00.00 for Horseshoe Lane as shown on the CRP 137 plans, sheet 1 of 1, on file in the office of the Franklin County Public Works Department;  thence South 89°29’02” East, 196.55 feet, to a PC at CES 1+96.55;  thence along a 573.0 foot radius curve to the left, concave to the north, having a central angle of 27°08’, an arc distance of 271.33 feet, to a Point of Tangent (PT) at CES 4+67.88; thence North 63°22’58” East, 52.72 feet to a station equation that equals CES 5+20.60 back stationing and CES 4+00.00 ahead stationing;  thence continuing North 63°22’58” East, 946.80 feet to the northerly line of the northwest quarter of said Section 22 and to the POINT OF TERMINUS for this centerline.

 

Excepting therefrom, right-of-way for Horseshoe Road.

Provided, the easement be retained for public utilities and service in accordance with RCW 36.87.140.

 

Therefore, it is ordered by the Board that the hearing on said vacation petition will be held by the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County at their office at the Franklin County Courthouse at 1016 North 4th Avenue, in Pasco, Washington, on Wednesday the 8th day of November 2017, at the hour of 9:00 A.M.

CRP 609 / BASIN CITY ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION ROUTE IMPROVEMENT

TAP-B111(005)

 

Franklin County Public Works is inviting and requesting bid proposals for CRP 609 / Basin City Alternative Transportation Route Improvement. The project provides for the work of removing sidewalks, curb ramps, curb and gutter; constructing new ADA compliant cement concrete curb and gutter, cement concrete sidewalk and curb ramps; installing pedestrian push-button activated solar powered rectangular rapid flash beacon (RRFB) for pedestrian

crossing, permanent traffic signage; removing and replacing fence; removing painted traffic markings and installing thermoplastic traffic markings and other related work. This project is located at the intersection of R-170 and Bailie Boulevard (located in the Basin City) in Section 23, Township 13 N., Range 29 E, WM (46.590993, -119.155249).
