The Franklin County Public Works Department is comprised of Accounting and Administrative Services, Road Maintenance and Operation Division, Engineering and Traffic Services Division, Geographical Information Systems Division, Solid Waste Division, and Motor Vehicle and Equipment Division. Juniper Dunes Recreation Area Access Road

 

2015-07-29 The Board of Franklin County Commissioners held a public hearing to establish a County road from Pasco-Kahlotus Road to the Juniper Dunes Recreation Area.

 

2015-04-08 - The Board of Franklin County Commissioners held a public hearing on the route preference for a Juniper Dunes access road. The public was afforded opportunity to voice opinions and concerns. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Board concurred with the County Engineer's report that Alternative 2 was the preferred option. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will make the final determination as to the route location.

The Western Federal Lands Division of the Federal Highway Administration, in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management and Franklin County, is planning to construct a public access to the Juniper Dunes Wilderness and off-highway vehicle areas. The project is currently in the early planning stages.

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday, April 19th, 2017, at 9:00 am in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room at the County Courthouse, 1016 North Fourth Avenue, Pasco, Washington, for the purpose of taking testimony concerning the amending of the existing 2017-2022 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program.  “Each county shall perpetually have available advanced plans looking to the future for not less than six years as a guide in carrying out a coordinated transportation program” (RCW 36.81.121(1)).

LEON DRIVE AND ESTELLA DRIVE WATERLINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

Basin City Water and Sewer District  is requesting qualified engineers to submit statements of qualification to perform a scope of work that includes but is not limited to surveying of existing conditions, design of the last phase for the realignment and reconstruction of an existing water distribution system in Basin City, environmental assessment and documentation, identify and obtain permit(s) (if any), identify and obtain temporary construction permit(s), provide complete design services including completion of plans, specification, and cost estimate, coordinate with landowners, utilities, local, state, and federal agencies, and have knowledge and experience with the requirements and procedures of HUD’s CDBG federal grants and USDA RD loans. The firm may be considered for subsequent phases for additional work. The firm’s engagement to complete subsequent phases depends upon the firms’s satisfactory performance during the preliminary engineering phase and upon negotiation of a supplement to this agreement. The project budget, including construction, is approximately $895,000, with plans and specifications complete by January 1st, 2018.

CRMP 2017-02 Crack Sealing – County Wide

 

Franklin County Public Works is inviting and requesting bid proposals for CRMP 2016-05 Crack Sealing – County Wide. The project provides for the installation of 49,000 lbs (24.5 Tons) of County furnished rubberized asphalt for sealing crack in bituminous and asphalt pavements for the base bid. The Alt bids for this project will be for the furnishing and installation of rubberized asphalt for sealing crack in bituminous and asphalt pavements.

 

Sealed bids shall be marked with the project name and number and be addressed to the Franklin County Public Works Director. Bids will be received at the Franklin County Public Works Department Office Building, 3416 Stearman Avenue, Pasco, Washington, 99301, until 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 19th, 2017, and will then and there be opened and publicly read aloud.  Bids shall be submitted only on the proposal form provided with the specifications.

 

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total contract amount.
