Our office utilizes a service to provide taxpayers with additional payment options that would not normally be available. Point and Pay offers electronic check payments for a $1.50 fee or the option to use a credit or debit card for a 2.5% fee

AVOID INTEREST AND PENALTIES

Delinquent taxes are subject to interest at the rate of 12% per annum computed at 1% per month on the full year amount of tax unpaid. In addition, delinquent taxes are subject to penalties as follows; 3% on the full year amount of tax unpaid on June 1st of the year in which the tax is due. An additional penalty of 8% on the amount of tax delinquent on December 1st of the year in which the tax is due. (RCW 84.56.020). To avoid additional charges, view your account information and make a payment by selecting the PROPERTY TAX INQUIRY tab listed on the top/left side of this page.

DUTIES OF THE TREASURER

The county treasurer holds a key position of public trust in the financial affairs of local government.  Acting as the "bank" for the county, school districts, fire districts, water districts and other units of local government.The treasurer's office receipts, disburses, invests and accounts for the funds of each of these entities.  In addition, the treasurer is charged with the collection of various taxes that benefit a wide range of governmental units.
